This policy explains what data we use to create your song, why we use it, who we share it with and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Who looks after your data

Your data is handled by Souza Aguiar Services Corp, a Florida company located at Winter Garden, FL 34787, USA. Contact: support@foryoumelody.com.

2. Data we use

• Your details: name and email.
• The song's story: the name of the person being honored, the occasion, their relationship to you, the memories and details you write, and the language, style, instruments, vocals and mood.
• What we create: the lyrics and the song's audio.
• Payment: Stripe processes the payment and tells us the result, the amount, the method used and the name and email entered at checkout. We never receive your card number.
• Technical data: your IP address, stored in a transformed form (hash), to prevent abuse; site access logs; and the cookies described below.

The story may include data about other people, such as the name of the person receiving the song. You confirm that you have permission to share it. Please do not include sensitive data (health, religion, sexual orientation and similar) or ID numbers, addresses or phone numbers.

Songs for children are welcome, with information provided by their parents or guardians. Purchases are for adults 18 and over only.

3. Why we use it

• To create, show and deliver your song and send your order emails.
• To charge you and meet tax and legal obligations.
• To protect the service against fraud and abuse, such as bulk orders.

We do not sell your data and we do not send you marketing without your consent. The emails we send are about your order. We do not use your story to train artificial intelligence models.

4. Who we share it with

We use providers that process data only to deliver the service for us:

• Anthropic (USA): writes and checks the lyrics. Receives the song's story, without your email.
• ElevenLabs (USA): creates the music. Receives the lyrics and the musical choices, without your email.
• Stripe: processes the payment.
• Resend (USA): sends the order emails.

We may also share data when the law or an authority requires it.

5. How long we keep it

• Unpaid order: expires after 3 days. At that point we delete the audio, remove the personal data from the story and the lyrics, and anonymize your account if you have no other order.
• Paid order: kept while the song is available to you and for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete it sooner, except for what the law requires us to keep.
• Access codes: deleted once used or expired.
• Site access logs: for as long as needed to keep the service secure.

6. Cookies

We only use cookies that the site needs to work. We do not use advertising or audience analytics cookies.

• fym_account: keeps you signed in to "My orders" (7 days).
• fym_lang: remembers your language (1 year).
• A form security cookie (antiforgery), which lasts for your browser session.
• Security cookies, used to protect the site and for the bot check.

7. Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data. We do not sell your data or share it for targeted advertising. If your state's law (such as California's) gives you other rights, we honor them and respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

8. Security

The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Audio files are kept in private storage and only open through temporary links. Access codes and links are stored in protected form, and internal access to data is restricted. If a security incident may affect you, we will notify you as the law requires.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
